The road proposed by the authorities after the bridge collapse is dangerous and inaccessible for most residents of the part of Lermontovo beyond the river, even ambulances and garbage trucks refuse to go along it, they said, demanding that the issue of access to the infrastructure be resolved. The head of the district promised to consider an alternative route.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, people who live in the part of the village of Lermontovo beyond the Shapsukho River, after the collapse of the bridge faced difficulties - it is almost impossible to get to the center of the village, buy food, medicine. The head of the Tuapse District reported that residents of Lermontovo, where the bridge collapsed during the flooding, can temporarily use the bypass road. The road is in a state of disrepair and is extremely dangerous, the commentators objected.

The result of our government's inaction is that we do not have access to the infrastructure of the village where we live. There are no hospitals, no stores, no pharmacies in the Zarechnye district. We depend on this bridge - one minute and we have access to all the infrastructure. When the bridge collapsed, we hoped that the authorities would pay attention to us and quickly restore our ability to cross.

The alternative road proposed by the authorities is a dangerous serpentine, stones regularly fall on the road, the woman said. "Our government is forcing us to drive on this road. Our government is ready to risk people's lives," she noted.

Another participant in the appeal noted that ambulances, trucks, and garbage trucks in particular refuse to drive on the proposed alternative road, resulting in spontaneous dumps. "We demand that they allocate us a crossing, we demand that they allocate us a garbage truck that will collect garbage until the bridge is restored. In fact, the road to Lermontovo is 11 kilometers long, to go to the store for bread - 11 kilometers one way and 11 the other way," she noted.

The participants in the appeal demanded that they organize a suspension bridge or solve the problem with travel along another road, follows from a video published on August 13 on the VKontakte page "Red PolitObzor". The recording had garnered 503 views by 10.21 Moscow time.

The head of the Tuapse District, Sergei Boyko, responded to the residents' complaints. "In Lermontovo, residents are not satisfied with the alternative road. We are currently negotiating with the Sechenovets sports and recreation camp and the Kolos recreation center so that they allow emergency and utility services to travel. And also for a certain number of private cars of Zarechye residents. They asked to prepare lists of these cars, on which people will be able to take their neighbors, go to the other side of Lermontovo and then on business," he wrote in his Telegram channel on August 13.

According to him, the elimination of the consequences is ongoing. "Somewhere, the clearing of yards is still ongoing, in other places, construction equipment is already working. Everyone now has electricity and water. The main thing now is to restore the automobile and pedestrian bridges damaged by the high water. In Moldavanovka, together with local activists, we inspected the destroyed and damaged bridges by the elements. There are four of them in the village. We will repair everything, there are already estimates for the work. Equipment will go to the bridge on Tsentralnaya Street in 3 days and the restoration of the crossing will begin. "Crushed stone for backfilling of intra-village roads has also already been ordered," the head of the district promised.

He also reported that the second branch of the water pipeline to Lermontovo had been launched, but tap water should only be consumed after boiling for now.

It should be noted that by the evening of August 3, the authorities of the Tuapse district reported that more than 200 people had participated in eliminating the consequences of the flooding. However, the authors of comments on social networks complained that help had not arrived. Commentators in Telegram channels are concerned about the lack of water in the affected areas.
