The first branch of the water main in Lermontovo has started working, but you can't drink the tap water yet, the head of the Tuapse District reported. Water continues to be delivered to Defanovka and Novomikhaylovskoye, which were also affected by the flooding.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, people who live in the part of the village of Lermontovo beyond the Shapsukho River, after the collapse of the bridge faced difficulties - it is almost impossible to get to the center of the village, buy food, medicine. The head of the Tuapse District reported that residents of Lermontovo, where the bridge collapsed during the flooding, can temporarily use the bypass road. The road is in a state of disrepair and is extremely dangerous, commentators objected.

At 3:15 am today, water began to flow to residents of the village of Lermontovo, reported the head of the Tuapse District Sergei Boyko. "For now, it can only be consumed after boiling. We will additionally inform you when it will be possible to drink it from the tap," he wrote today on his Telegram channel. According to him, the first branch supplied water to the private sector, and now specialists are installing the second branch of the water main.

Earlier, on August 7, he reported that 33 tons of bottled drinking water had been distributed to residents of flooded settlements. "Drinking water distribution points continue to operate at Secondary School No. 35 in Novomikhaylovskoye, and at headquarters in Novomikhaylovskoye and Lermontovo. Drinking water is supplied to the population of Moldovanovka, Defanovka, and Novomikhaylovskoye by delivery. For this purpose, special equipment from the Novorossiysk improvement company was brought in," he said.

According to him, technical water was also delivered to residents of Lermontovo in 24 installed containers, and to residents of Plyakho in 5 containers.
