North Ossetian soldier killed in Ukraine

Batraz Brayev from Beslan was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, the authorities have named at least 471 killed soldiers from North Ossetia.

As "Caucasian Knot" reported, by August 7, officials and security forces publicly admitted that at least 7,150 soldiers from southern Russia were killed in the war zone in Ukraine, including 470 from North Ossetia.

Batraz Brayev, a native of Beslan who was killed in Ukraine, was buried today in the Pravoberezhny District of North Ossetia. Brayev, an auto mechanic by education, participated in military operations in Ukraine since 2022, and was awarded three medals in three years, the municipal administration reported.

Braev was killed in July 2025 at the age of 33, he left behind two young children, according to a publication on the official Telegram channel.
