A fighter from Kabardino-Balkaria was killed in a military operation

Ramazan Aripshev was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the military operation in Ukraine, at least 280 fighters from Kabardino-Balkaria have been officially recognized as killed.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, by August 3, the authorities and security forces recognized at least 279 fighters from Kabardino-Balkaria as killed.

Ramazan Aripshev was born in Chegem. In 2009, he graduated from school, in 2013 he graduated from the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov, specializing in pharmacist. In 2018, he graduated from the Volgograd State Medical University, specializing in pharmacist. In August 2023, having signed a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense, he volunteered for the SVO zone. He was a rifleman in a motorized rifle squad. On December 9, 2023, in one of the battles, 30-year-old Ramazan received a gunshot wound incompatible with life, the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation branch in Kabardino-Balkaria reported in its Telegram channel on August 4.

7,100 fighters from the south of Russia are recognized as killed in the military operation

Officials and security forces publicly recognized at least 3,529 fighters from the North Caucasus Federal District and 3,571 from the Southern Federal District as killed in the war zone in Ukraine.

Thus, at least 280 fighters from Kabardino-Balkaria have been officially recognized as killed in Ukraine. The "Caucasian Knot" knows the names of 267 of them, and the death of another 13 became known from the republic's authorities' report on payments to the families of those killed in 2022.

The "Caucasian Knot" maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus Federal District and the Southern Federal District killed in the military operation. The list was compiled based on data officially announced by government officials and law enforcement agencies, according to the Caucasian Knot report "NVO statistics: losses are growing for the south of Russia".

State awards, memorial plaques and appearances on Channel One do not guarantee state support for the families of those killed, according to the Caucasian Knot report "Three comrades served: how the authorities are depriving the families of killed volunteers of benefits", which describes the stories of fighters from other regions.
