Massive UAV attack repelled in Volgograd region

Last night, air defense forces repelled a massive drone attack on transport and energy facilities in the Volgograd region.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, temporary restrictions were introduced today at the Volgograd airport to ensure security.

Volgograd Region Governor Andrei Bocharov reported that there were no casualties as a result of the night attack.

"In the Ilovlinsky district, as a result of falling debris, a high-voltage wire was cut, power engineers are working to restore power supply to the Ilovlya settlement and nearby settlements. Fires in dry grass have also been recorded, which are being quickly eliminated by fire services," the regional administration said in a message on its Telegram channel.

In Frolovo, as a result of falling debris, The UAV caused a fire in the technical building of the Archeda station. Windows were broken in two adjacent residential buildings. The passenger infrastructure of the railway station was not damaged.

"To eliminate the unexploded UAV located on the railway tracks, train traffic in the area of the Archeda station in the Frolovsky district has been temporarily restricted, sappers are working. No damage to the tracks was noted," the administration noted.
