Defense of 90-year-old Kuban resident calls accusation of indecent acts fabricated

Teenagers accused a 90-year-old resident of Kuban of indecent acts, who was relieving himself near his dacha. The man, who is blind in one eye, claims that he did not see the teenagers on the pier 20 meters away from him.

The interests of the pensioner are represented by Kuban lawyer Alexey Avanesyan. The investigative authorities opened a criminal case against the 90-year-old man for indecent acts and threatened him with arrest, but eventually released him on bail.

The accused suffers from prostate adenoma and chronic urinary incontinence, which is why he had to find a deserted place on the way to his dacha to relieve himself. The pensioner is blind in one eye, and his other eye is only 10 percent vision, according to a report from the project "Word to the Defense".

A post with a short video recording accusing a man of indecent acts was published in early June in the Dinskaya Telegram channel “Typical Dinskaya”. The author of the post, a teenage girl, claims that the man allegedly masturbated in the presence of four minors - herself and her friends, when they were relaxing on the pier. The post is accompanied by an eight-second video shot using zoom - it shows the man standing behind a tree, but it is impossible to see what exactly he is doing.

According to Avanesyan, because of the publication, the pensioner faced pressure and threats, and subsequently the mother of one of the girls filed a statement with the Investigative Committee. The security forces opened a case of indecent assault and forced the pensioner to admit guilt, but he does not admit guilt.
