On the wall of heroes, where portraits of participants in the Great Patriotic War are posted, the management of the Sevastopol Marine Aquarium Museum posted a portrait of the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov. This was written on social networks, after which an unknown man removed the portrait. The museum management returned it back.

On the embankment of Sevastopol, near the monument to the sunken ships, there is an installation about the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. A video showing part of the exhibition was published, in particular, by the Telegram channel Readovka on July 20. The author of the video takes portraits and comments on who is depicted in them. The frame includes the artilleryman of the cruiser "Voroshilov" Milya Demenshteyn, Admiral Nikolai Kuznetsov, Marshal Georgy Zhukov. Then a portrait of the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov appears in the frame. There is no information about him under the portrait, only "Ramzan Akhmatovich Kadyrov" is indicated. The author of the video laughed and said: "Find the odd one out."

The Telegram channel claims that at the time of publication, the portrait had been removed. It was hung there in 2022, and, according to local media, the initiative came from the staff of the Aquarium Maritime Museum.

After the video was distributed on social networks, Kadyrov's portrait was removed. Moreover, according to the director of the Sevastopol Marine Aquarium Museum Yuri Kravtsov, it was done by an unknown man, the Pod'em Telegram channel reports.

The portrait, according to Kravtsov, hung for three years, "everything was calm." However, on July 21, an unknown man of about 40 came with a screwdriver, unscrewed the screws and removed the banner. When passersby asked what next, he replied: "I'll take it to the administration."

Kravtsov said that "one agency that deals with extremism" was informed about the incident. "We believe that these are deliberate actions aimed at inciting ethnic hatred. And such actions at such a time are an act hostile to our people," the Telegram channel quotes him as saying.

The museum director also commented on opinions that Kadyrov's portrait does not quite fit into the gallery of heroes of the Great Patriotic War. According to him, the special military operation currently underway is related to the Great Patriotic War, and Kadyrov is "Putin's most loyal soldier." "And we are also Putin's loyal soldiers: if necessary, we will give our lives for both the Motherland and the President. So all of this is a connection between generations. He is now the brightest representative of state power, we think so," he summed up.

On July 28, Readovka reported that Kadyrov's portrait had been returned to the Sevastopol embankment. The publication published a short video in which an unknown author simply recorded that the portrait of the head of Chechnya hangs to the left of the portrait of Georgy Zhukov.

Earlier, "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote that on July 27, in the Grozny village of Staraya Sunzha, a minor was detained for damaging a banner with a portrait of Akhmat Kadyrov.
