Drone danger regime introduced in four regions of southern Russia

The threat of a drone attack was announced by the authorities of North Ossetia, Kabardino-Balkaria and Stavropol Krai, as well as the mayor's offices of Novorossiysk and Anapa.

The first reports of a possible threat of a drone attack were disseminated late in the evening on July 23 by the authorities of the Kuban cities.

The mayor's office of Anapa reported on the work of air defense, recommending that citizens "take shelter in a room without windows." The head of Novorossiysk Andrei Kravchenko also reported on his Telegram channel about the threat of a UAV attack. Traffic on the Crimean Bridge was blocked at 22:53 Moscow time, although the channel with notifications about the situation on the crossing did not name the reasons for this decision.

After midnight, the heads of three regions of the North Caucasus Federal District successively announced a drone alert: Stavropol Krai Governor Vladimir Vladimirov, Kabardino-Balkaria Head Kazbek Kokov, and North Ossetia Head Sergei Menyailo. The latter noted that "a slowdown in mobile Internet is possible."

"Caucasian Knot" wrote that on July 22, Menyailo imposed a ban on mass events and strengthened security measures in the republic due to the threat of an assassination attempt on the military. Residents of Vladikavkaz were asked not to visit crowded places due to the threat of drone attacks.
