Savelyevs complain about Kuban official's formal reply

Lyudmila and Aleksey Savelyev received a letter from the acting Minister of Resorts, Tourism and Olympic Heritage of Krasnodar Krai, who stated that they were not entitled to housing in place of their barracks, which was demolished during the construction of the Olympic track. On February 8, the Sochi court rejected the Savelyevs' claim for housing. In late April, they filed an appeal against the court's refusal to satisfy the claim against the Sochi authorities, but the appeal was rejected. In late June, the prosecutor's office refused to help the Savelyevs protect their rights.

On July 18, the Savelyev mother and son received a letter by mail from the Ministry of Resorts, Tourism and Olympic Heritage of the Krasnodar Territory signed by Acting Minister M. Zaritsky. The official who sent my mother and me a cold formal reply lives needlessly himself and probably not in a garbage dump like me,” Savelyeva’s 50-year-old son Alexei Savelyev, also disabled, commented on the official’s response.

At the same time, both mother and son noted that they did not contact the aforementioned ministry at all, but sent a statement to the governor. “This ministry no longer provides housing, although it is the legal successor of the Olympic Department. Its powers are different now,” Savelyev noted.

Lyudmila Savelyeva admitted that she does not know where else to turn, because no one cares about people with violated rights.

The lawyer recommended that the Savelyevs file a complaint against the Olympic Heritage Ministry with the governor of Krasnodar Krai, to whom it is subordinate. And if the governor does not show any interest, then the lawyer recommends filing a complaint with the prosecutor's office about the violation of rights.

The Savelyevs themselves no longer believe in the effectiveness of complaints, because over 14 years of correspondence with them, they have accumulated huge suitcases with archives in their rented apartments. "We will gather our strength and write to the governor of the region and the prosecutor of the region," Lyudmila Savelyeva nevertheless shared her plans.
