After an accident on a water main, residents of the mountainous areas of Goryachy Klyuch have been left without water supply for several days. This problem is observed regularly, but the authorities have not solved it, the townspeople said.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, in July 2023, residents of Goryachy Klyuch, complaining about problems with the water supply, held a rally and organized a signature collection demanding that measures be taken against the management of Vodokanal. Officials then told the townspeople that three of the four pumps that pumped water to the mountainous areas of the city had broken down. According to residents, Vodokanal sent a routine formal reply to their request.

An accident on the main water main in Goryachy Klyuch occurred on July 9, after which the central water intake was stopped. "As a result of the rapid water withdrawal to fill the system that was empty after the accident, the water reserves at the water intake were almost exhausted," Mayor Sergei Belopolsky reported on his Telegram channel on July 11.

In connection with the water supply restrictions, the authorities organized three stationary water collection points on July 11. "We continue to work on filling the water reserves at the city water intake. Now there are about 1.2 thousand cubic meters. Since the night, all areas up to the Gorny sanatorium have been opened for distribution. We have to regulate the supply depending on the volume of water at the water intake," Belopolsky wrote today.

According to him, the most difficult situation is at Chepurkova and Kurortnaya Mountains. "There is not enough water to fill the tanks. It is not yet possible to introduce a delivery schedule. We brought 5 tanks from the Tuapse District - thanks to colleagues for their support. Now they are being placed along the mountain streets: Shchorsa / Nagornaya, Shchorsa / Yuzhnaya, Radishcheva / Gorky, Radishcheva / Yuzhnaya, Shchorsa, 46," the publication says.

The tanks previously installed in the districts continue to be filled with water today, the mayor said. "This morning, we began processing requests for water delivery. I understand that everyone would like to hear some clear deadlines for solving the problem. However, at the moment, it is difficult to predict the situation," he wrote at 10:26 Moscow time. As of 14:50 Moscow time, no new publications have appeared in the mayor's Telegram channel.
