Traffic jam in front of the Crimean Bridge doubled in four hours

The number of cars in line at the Crimean Bridge has grown from 652 to 1,370 in four hours. Telegram users have complained about drivers trying to get to the inspection points out of turn.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, today at 05:00 Moscow time, there were 652 cars in line at the Crimean Bridge from the Taman side. There was no line at the inspection point from the Kerch side.

As of 09:00 Moscow time, there are 1,150 cars in line at the Crimean Bridge from the Taman side, the Information Center for Highways to the Crimean Bridge reported on its Telegram channel. "The wait is over three hours. There are 220 vehicles in the queue from the Kerch side. The wait is about an hour," the report says.

According to hourly publications, at 06:00 Moscow time, there were 902 cars in the queue from the Taman side, at 07:00 - 1015, at 08:00 - 1055. The queue from the Kerch side formed by 07:00 Moscow time and at 08:00 consisted of 198 cars.

Today, users of the "Crimean Bridge Chat" telegram chat also reported traffic jams in front of the bridge from the Kuban side. "We got stuck in a traffic jam at 05.55. We entered the bridge at 09.36. Towards Crimea," wrote, in particular, Polina.

"We've been stuck in a traffic jam on the Crimean Bridge since 07.00 in the morning, we're barely moving. No one is letting those driving on the shoulder through. We're coming from the Taman side," reported Gilmutdinova at 09.20 Moscow time.

Other users also complained about some drivers trying to cut in line. "We've been stuck for an hour, haven't reached the Taman, Volna junction yet... Leftists are still getting through," wrote a user with the nickname "@А&" at 08:58 Moscow time.

"We got stuck in a traffic jam at 09:12, left lane, we've been stuck for 20 minutes without moving! On the right, everyone's driving in the lane, the traffic police are standing there and doing nothing!" - Vera Z shared her observations. "There are no traffic police representatives here, you need to call 112," - Vladimir responded to this. "They told us it wasn't an emergency and hung up," wrote Alsu Isamova. "We got stuck in a traffic jam from the Taman side at 05.50, and left the bridge at 09.05," she added in another message.

"How nice, [the driver] thought he was smarter than everyone, and drove around everyone on the left, five minutes later, accompanied by traffic police, we returned to the very beginning of the traffic jam," said Andrey Golovanov. "I wonder how soon karma will punish those who brazenly fly along the left lane," Alena wondered.

Recall that on July 17, 2023, the Crimean Bridge was attacked by Ukrainian drones, one span was destroyed, another was damaged. Traffic on the bridge was restored only on November 1 of the same year.

On October 8, 2022, an explosion occurred on the Crimean Bridge, two spans collapsed. Vladimir Putin called the incident a terrorist attack, the FSB stated that the organizer of the terrorist attack was the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Traffic on the bridge was resumed a month later.
