Two Dagestani residents convicted of desecrating Eternal Flame in Stavropol village

A court sentenced two residents of Dagestan to 2.5 years in a penal colony, finding them guilty of desecrating the Eternal Flame at the memorial in the village of Kurskaya. The convicts were warming their feet by the fire.

They were reportedly warming their feet by the fire. They were put on the federal wanted list and were detained in other regions.

The court sentenced them to 2.5 years in a penal colony, finding them guilty of desecrating symbols of Russia's military glory and insulting the memory of defenders of the Fatherland, committed publicly by a group of people (Part 4 of Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
