Orthodox activists make peace with Alaudinov
Activists of the “Sorok Sorokov” (Forty Forties) Movement came to Apti Alaudinov, Commander of the “Akhmat” Special Forces, to demand from him apologies to Schema-Abbot Gavriil, but during the meeting they concluded that Alaudinov is a "friend of Orthodox believers."
Andrei Kormukhin, the leader of the above Movement, has reported in his Telegram channel about a meeting with Apti Alaudinov in connection with his words about Schema-Abbot Gavriil.
According to Mr Kormukhin, a group of activists went to the commander of the “Akhmat” Special Forces to demand that he apologize to the Orthodox priest. "Initially, we wanted to demand a public apology from the general, but after the conversation we realized that this should not be done. It was enough for us that the general admitted that he was wrong in his insults to Father Gavriil, that he did not know who it was when he emotionally recorded his video, and that he was deeply touched by that very episode from the sermon of the schema-abbot, where he spoke unflatteringly about Islam and Muslims in Moscow, by generalizing everyone," Andrei Kormukhin has written.
According to his story, they explained to Alaudinov that "Father Gavriil did not want to offend all Muslims, and his words were addressed specifically to those thousands and thousands of migrants who bring to Russia not only their labour, but also the political radical Islam of the Wahhabi persuasion." "Apti Aronovich has heard our arguments; we remembered the recently arrested Mullah in Rostov-on-Don, who was linked with the events that occurred at the Rostov SIZO (pre-trial prison) No. 1, when a year ago Wahhabi terrorists took hostages. The general said that Father Gavriil's sermon did not include these clarifications, and this offended many Muslims in Russia," the report said.
According to Mr Kormukhin, the meeting with Alaudinov lasted for 8.5 hours. "We talked a lot with the general about the past, present and future, about the challenges that Russia is facing. We talked about demography, about Russophobia and about Chechenophobia. We talked about the danger of the thesis "Russia is for Russians," the movement activist has added.
According to Andrei Kormukhin, at the meeting, activists understood that "Apti Alaudinov is not an enemy of Russians and Orthodox Christians, but a friend." As a gift, they presented him with banners with the Saviour and the Virgin Mary.
