Former Prime Minister of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan detained
Hovik Abrahamyan, the former Speaker of the Parliament and former Prime Minister of Armenia, has been detained on the charge of money laundering.
On June 13, the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia reported the detention of the former Speaker of the Parliament and former Prime Minister of Armenia. “Hovik Abrahamyan is being accused of money laundering in a number of episodes, abuse of office, and illegal participation in illegal entrepreneur activities,” the press service for the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia reported. It has also been reported by the Anti-Corruption Committee that detailed information on the criminal case will be made public later, the “News-Armenia” news agency reports.
In addition, a search was conducted at the politician’s house, the “hraparak.am” publication reported with reference to its own sources.
