In Tbilisi, participants of protest action attacked by unidentified persons

In Tbilisi, unidentified persons attacked participants of the “March of Unity” who were distributing newspapers with letters from political prisoners. Supporters of the Georgia’s European integration blocked Rustaveli Avenue on the 195th day of the protests.

The participants of the “March of Unity” action, which supporters of the Georgia’s European integration are holding in different districts of Tbilisi, were attacked by provocateurs in the Dighomi District. The protesters claim that the provocateurs insulted the activists and used physical violence against them.

“We were distributing newspapers with letters from prisoners, but several provocateurs started cursing at us. Then the police came and intervened in the situation. A young woman was hit on the head for defending her Georgian identity,” the “Pirveli” TV Channel quotes a participant of the action as claiming.
