Resident of Stavropol Territory accused of failure to report a crime
In the city of Georgievsk, a court considers a criminal case against Ramazan Abdullaev, who is accused of failing to report to the law enforcement bodies about the involvement of his female acquaintance in a terrorist organization.
According to the public prosecutors’ version, in August 2024, 34-year-old Ramazan Abdullaev learned about the participation of his female acquaintance in the activities of a terrorist organization banned in Russia. The man got the information about the woman’s connections with the terrorist organization from the personal communication with her, the law enforcement bodies suggest.
In October of the same year, a criminal case was instituted against Ramazan Abdullaev’s female acquaintance under the article on participation in a terrorist organization (Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation provides for the punishment of 10-20 years of imprisonment). In January 2025, the woman herself told the law enforcement bodies that Ramazan Abdullaev knew about her connection with the militants, the United Press Service for the Courts of the Stavropol Territory reports today.
The investigators came to the conclusion that Ramazan Abdullaev “deliberately inactive” from August 2024 to January 2025, not informing the law enforcement bodies about the participation of his female acquaintance in the activities of the terrorist organization.
According to the information from the case card on the court’s official website, the Georgievsky City Court has been considering the case against Ramazan Abdullaev since April. The “Caucasian Knot” has not yet received any comments from Ramazan Abdullaev or his advocate regarding the public prosecutors’ version of the events.
