Three residents of Krasnodar Territory fined for discrediting Russian Army

Oksana Voronina from Tikhoretsk and Yulia Vaganova from Sochi have been fined for their comments in social networks, which were treated by the court as discrediting the Russian Army. Yuri Boretsky, a Sochi resident, was ordered to pay a fine for his statements made during a conversation with his colleagues.

As reported by the human rights project "OVD-Info"*, Oksana Voronina was fined by 30,000 roubles because of her comment on the Telegram channel under the news of the death of Evgeny Prigozhin. As follows from the ruling of the district court, the ruling was based on the conclusion of a linguistic expertise that Voronina's comment "is a discussion of the aims of using the army," "and the expression of a negative attitude towards the use of the Russian Armed Forces is a sign of discrediting them."

The Tsentralny Court of Sochi has fined Yuri Boretsky, a railway worker and a native of the Ukrainian city of Zhitomir, by 45,000 roubles. His colleagues reported his statements made in the workplace "in the presence of two or more people" and noted that he had opposed the special military operation (SMO) in Ukraine from the very start thereof.

The court also imposed a fine on Yulia Vaganova, who, according to law enforcers, posted a music video dedicated to the events in Bucha and left a comment on it in her page in the "VKontakte" social network. Vaganova refused to admit her guilt, pointing out that she did not leave the comment, and her page in the social network has now been deleted.

Let us remind you that earlier a Krasnodar resident was fined for shouting pro-Ukrainian slogans.
