Aushev brothers, residents of Ingushetia, seek defence by the authorities and human rights activists

The Aushev brothers, detained by employees of non-established power agencies in the territory of Chechnya and released after the protest action in Nazran (Ingushetia) held by their relatives are afraid of further prosecution by power agents; therefore, they ask the RF leadership and the international community to stand for their right.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed about it by a relative of the young brothers.

Copies of the application have been sent practically to all the international instances, and also to the RF President, Director of the Russian FSB, General Public Prosecutor, Ombudsman of Russia and Russian human rights activists.

In their application, the brothers give details of their detention and emphasize the facts of application tortures to them. According to the brothers, before their release, one of the kidnappers threatened short work to them (having sworn on the Koran) if they disclose what had happened to them. In this connection, being afraid for their safety, they asked the authorities and human rights activists to protect them.

The same application was filed to the Prosecutor's Office of the Chechen Republic. However, according to the relatives of the young men, no criminal case on the fact of their kidnapping has been initiated yet.
