Mother of athlete Tsomartova, who disappeared in Dagestan, announces reward of 5 million roubles

The mother of Anna Tsomartova, who disappeared in Dagestan in February, announced a reward of 5 million roubles for anyone who would help bring her daughter back. The woman warned that she would not give up and would continue the search.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on March 10, Diana Tsomartova announced that after looking through the materials of the case on her daughter’s disappearance, she came to the conclusion that investigators had not done the proper work. The woman filed a complaint against the investigators. On March 9, the “Lisa Alert” organization reported that the search for athlete Anna Tsomartova was underway.

On February 27, it became known that the authorities ignored the appeal to Vladimir Putin recorded by the father of Anna Tsomartova, who requested the Russian President for help in investigating the case.

Another appeal was also released on behalf of the athlete’s mother, who claimed that slanderous rumours about Anna were being disseminated online. “The version that our daughter is insane and that the mother regularly beat her is being actively spread. They went so far as to accuse us of separatism and hatred of the people of Dagestan,” the message states.

Anna Tsomartova’s mother notes that “all attacks against us” are aimed at covering up a specific person.

Let us remind you that the search for Anna Tsomartova has been ongoing since February 12. Her mother said that the athlete disappeared in Kaspiysk after she was defeated in a tournament and was depressed. Investigators have instituted a murder case, but a kidnapping version is also being considered.
