Political analysts identify trend of precautionary apologies to Kadyrov

Apologizes to Ramzan Kadyrov in order to be in the safe side, like those voiced by singer Eduard Sharlot at trial, have been caused by people’s fear of possible persecution by Chechen law enforcers, and such apologies are forming a new trend, political analysts emphasize. They suggest that amid an increase in his influence in the Kremlin, Ramzan Kadyrov can find and punish his offenders throughout the country.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that Eduard Sharlot, accused of rehabilitating Nazism and insulting the feelings of believers, apologized to Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov for “insulting” him and to Vladimir Putin, whose portrait he had torn up.

Apologies to Ramzan Kadyrov have become mandatory even beyond Chechnya, political analyst Dmitry Oreshkin believes.

“Legal laws do not work in the Russian Federation, but unwritten laws do. They are very simple: if necessary, Chechen law enforcers will kidnap you ... Zarema Musaeva was kidnapped from Nizhny Novgorod. If necessary, you will be killed, like Boris Nemtsov. If necessary, you will be put on a bottle. And no police will investigate the above,” Dmitry Oreshkin said.

“I call this the ‘Kadyrovization’ of Russia,” the political analyst noted.

On the contrary, FSB Colonel in reserve Gennady Gudkov, a former Russian State Duma member, believes that the Chechen extrajudicial repressive practice has gone beyond the borders of Chechnya.

Gennady Gudkov suggests the above results from “the banditization of Russia, within which the law enforcement bodies become criminal communities, and from the absolute connivance at the Ramzan Kadyrov’s actions by Vladimir Putin.”

As for Eduard Sharlot’s apologies, this is already a new trend. “People apologize in advance not to get into troubles because of possible pressure by Ramzan Kadyrov,” the FSB Colonel in reserve noted.

Political analyst Sergey Zhavoronkov believes that the musician feared for persecution by Chechen law enforcers. The political analyst believes that the repressive body outside Chechnya would hardly pay any attention to Eduard Sharlot.
