Czech police asks for help in the case of stealing Kadyrov's horse

The Czech police have sent inquiries to other countries as part of the investigation into the kidnapping of the horse owned by Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of Chechnya. Besides, a genetic examination is underway to define the animal's DNA profile.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 7, 2023, it became known that the police of the Czech Republic began an inquiry into the theft of the stallion Zazu worth about USD 18,000. The horse is on the list of Kadyrov's property subject to sanctions.

The "Kavkaz.Realii"* project reports that the investigation into the case of the horse theft is conducted in the Czech Republic "within the framework of the international legal cooperation," and the police expect a response to the inquiries "within several months."

Let us remind you that his own horses are one of Kadyrov's income sources. In October 2014, the horse racing organizers in Germany froze prize payments for the winning stallions Zazu and Bystry Finish, owned by Kadyrov, because he was then already under the sanctions of the European Union (EU).

Kadyrov is openly spending money on his expensive hobby, while Chechnya is among the leaders in the volumes of received federal subsidies.
