FSB Department for Dagestan officially confirms Khalilov's death

According to the statement of Vyacheslav Shanshin, head of the FSB Department for Dagestan, "liquidation of Rappani Khalilov was a logic end of a complex of operative actions accomplished under direction of the Federal Security Bureau (FSB) of Russia."

According to the information obtained by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent from a source in the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan, a proof of the fact that Rappani Khalilov was in Novy Sulak settlement of the Kizilyurt District was the arrival of his wife to the settlement; earlier she was the wife of another well-known militant - field commander Khattab.

In the course of the operation, two other militants were killed: Khalilov's helpmate Nabi Nabiev and an active member of illegal armed formations Abdurakhman by nickname, an old Khalilov's brother-in-arms, the "Interfax" reports.
