Anti-mobilization protester convicted in Makhachkala
The court sentenced Gafar Isaev, a participant in a protest rally against mobilization held in September 2022 in Makhachkala, to two years of conditional imprisonment after finding him guilty of using violence against a law enforcer.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 25, in Makhachkala, law enforcers violently dispersed an anti-mobilization rally. Human rights defenders counted 101 detainees.
According to investigators, Gafar Isaev struck the law enforcer and knocked him to the ground, the "OVD Info"* project has reported. Isaev has pleaded guilty; and the court also took his appearance with confession as a mitigating circumstance.
