Stavropol Territory: father of many children tries to challenge his mobilization

A resident of the Stavropol Territory, who has three children, has filed a lawsuit challenging the decision of the mobilization commission.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 13, Andrei Kartapolov, the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Defence, stated that a decision had been made to postpone the mobilization of fathers who have three or more dependent children under 16 years of age. The fact that the fathers of three or more children are exempt from mobilization was also announced by Vyacheslav Volodin, the State Duma Speaker.

Alexander Semyonov, a mobilized resident of the Stavropol Territory, who had earlier served on conscription and has the rank of junior sergeant, was sent to a military unit in Ingushetia. Alexander filed a lawsuit demanding to cancel the decision of the draft commission as unjustified. He claimed that he has three dependent children as his key argument, the "Kavkaz.Realii"* project has reported.

The court has noted that at the time of filing the claim, Semyonov was a military serviceman, and returned the claim without consideration.
