Liberation of convicts for Tskaev's death is marker of tolerance for violence

The conditional early relief (CER) of those convicted within the case of the death of Vladimir Tskaev after being tortured at the police will be appealed against, his widow has stated. The early release of former policemen has become a marker of tolerance for violence, said Agunda Bekoeva, the founder of the "Khotæ" project.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 8, Spartak Buzoev and Alan Bigaev, convicted within the case of the death of Vladimir Tskaev, a resident of Vladikavkaz, who died after being tortured by the police, were released on CER. Social media users have treated this court ruling as unfair.

Zemfira Tskaeva, the widow, has stated that she will challenge the CER of Bigaev and Buzoev. According to her story, they can be reinstated at service two years after the expiration of the punishment.

The release of the two ex-policemen under CER will have its consequences, said Agunda Bekoeva, the founder of the "Khotæ" educational project.

"It was an incredibly resonant case ... Release under CER after a year is another signal that you can kill people, serve a few months in custody and walk on," she has stated.

When Bigaev and Buzoev were released, the usual mechanism for the opportunity to get out under CER was used, Zaur Farniev, a journalist with the "Kommersant" outlet, is sure.
