Author of words about "Chechens lolling about" apologizes for his statements

The author of the video with an apology for the derogatory words about Chechens has explained that he was talking about specific individuals, and not about the entire Chechen people.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the practice of public apologies adopted in Chechnya at Ramzan Kadyrov's initiative has spread to other Russian regions. Thus, on August 5, a resident of Moscow apologized for a video with obscene comments, in which a resident of Chechnya was walking along the beach with weapons.

The video with the man's apology was posted on the Telegram channel "ChPGrozny95". "We will not allow anyone to hurt the Chechens' honour and dignity," says the caption to the video.

The audio record is accompanied by an explanation: "Recently, a video was circulated in social networks, in which a man named Sergei – a Belarusian by nationality – spoke insults about the Chechen people."

The video starts with an inbuilt audio record, in which a male voice, addressing the Chechens, speaks derogatorily about them. He claims that there are a lot of Chechens "lolling about in Belgium" and promises to "find a place for all of them."
