Shelling of FSB Unit building investigated in Ingushetia

On July 27, at about 10:30 p.m., unknown persons shelled from automatic weapons and grenade launchers the building of the FSB Unit in the city of Magas, the capital of Ingushetia. According to the power agencies of Ingushetia, several persons were wounded. One serviceman was killed.

According to the Ingushetian Prosecutor's Office, at least five persons committed the armed attack on the governmental buildings in Magas.

The law enforcement bodies have reported that the fire on the building of the FSB Unit in Magas was opened from the direction of Ali-Yurt village. The village was then blocked by the employees of power agencies of Ingushetia. A special operation was conducted in the village, during which four suspects of shelling the FSB building were detained. Now their involvement in the incident is checked.

On the fact of shelling the FSB Unit in Magas a criminal case has been initiated on Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal bearing, keeping and transportation of weapons) and Article 317 (attempt on the life of an employee of a law enforcement body). The case is under special supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of Ingushetia.
