Ingushetia is worst Russian region in terms of gasoline accessibility for residents

According to the first half of 2022, residents of Ingushetia can afford to buy only 570 litres of gasoline for their salary. This is the worst result in Russia. Residents of Chechnya and Kabardino-Balkaria can also purchase less than 600 litres.

Today, on August 1, the RIA "Novosti" has published a rating of Russian regions in terms of the accessibility of gasoline for population. The data of the "Rosstat" (Russian Federal State Statistics Service) was taken as the basis.

Russian regions sell one litre of AI-92 gasoline at 43.48-61.6 roubles; the average for the country is 47.14 roubles.

Among the regions of the North-Caucasian and Southern Federal Districts (NCFD and SFD), residents of the Krasnodar Territory (779 litres) can afford to buy most AI-92 gasoline (48th place in the rating) for their salary. The Astrakhan Region is in the 50th place (765 litres); the Rostov Region – the 56th place (736 litres); the Volgograd Region – the 58th place (716 litres); the Stavropol Territory – the 67th place (690 litres); and Adygea is in the 74th place (661 litres).

The last places in the rating, from 79th to 85th, are occupied by the NCFD and SFD republics: Kalmykia is in the 79th place, its residents can afford to buy 621 litres of gasoline for their average monthly salary; North Ossetia – the 80th place (612 litres); Dagestan – the 81st place (606 litres); Karachay-Cherkessia – the 82nd place (605 litres); Chechnya – the 83rd place (587 litres); Kabardino-Balkaria – the 84th place (586 litres); and Ingushetia – the 85th place (570 litres).

For comparison, the leader in the rating is the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, whose residents can buy 2380 litres of gasoline for their average monthly salary.
