Aliev accused Russia's MoD of non-fulfilment of its promise on Karabakh

The Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has failed with its promise to ensure the withdrawal of Armenian troops from Nagorno-Karabakh in accordance with the agreements of November 10, 2020, Azerbaijani President, Ilham Aliev, has stated.

According to his version, a few months ago, a high-ranking official of the Russian MoD visited Azerbaijan. Aliev claims that the military official promised that Armenian militaries would leave Karabakh by June 2022, the website of the Azeri President reports.

"However, today is mid-July, but this issue has not been resolved. Contrary to the November 10 declaration, Armenia fails with its obligation. Of course, this is an intolerable situation, because the presence of the Armenian Armed Forces in Azerbaijan is completely unacceptable," Ilham Aliev has stated.

He treats the presence of Armenian militaries in the territory of Karabakh as "a gross violation of the declaration" dated November 10, 2020.
