Political analysts see a PR attempt in MP’s statements on Kadyrov

A statement voiced by Alexander Iltyakov, a State Duma member from the Kurgan Region, in which he condemned a Ramzan Kadyrov’s visit to the special military operation zone, is his own initiative and will likely raise his rating. If the Kremlin wanted to express an approach to Ramzan Kadyrov, it would have been done not through a State Duma member, whose words the leader of Chechnya is unlikely to heed, political analysts interviewed by the “Caucasian Knot” pointed out.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on March 13, several Telegram channels, including the “Grozny” ChGTRK (State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company), released a video stating that Ramzan Kadyrov had arrived in Ukraine, met Chechen law enforcers there, and set them the task of “taking Kyiv.”

State Duma member Alexander Iltyakov said that the leaders of regions should do their work instead of traveling to Ukraine. “You need to do your job and not arrange such extreme trips for yourself,” Alexander Iltyakov said as quoted by the “Ura.ru”.

Criticism of Ramzan Kadyrov was an independent initiative of the State Duma member, political analyst Arkady Dubnov believes. “The statement voiced by Alexander Iltyakov is not an indication of the leaders of the ‘Edinaya Rossiya’ (United Russia) Party. Due to such a daring speech about the ‘Putin’s infantryman,’ Alexander Iltyakov will certainly increase his rating significantly,” the political analyst noted.

Political analyst Dmitry Oreshkin, a leading researcher at the Institute of Geography, agrees that in his speech, State Duma member Alexander Iltyakov expressed his personal point of view and his position regarding the Ramzan Kadyrov’s trips to Ukraine. “If Ramzan Kadyrov had to ‘receive an approach’ in connection with his trip to Ukraine, then that would have been done not publicly and not through the State Duma member from the Kurgan Region, whose opinion the leader of Chechnya would hardly listened to, because his status is higher than that of the State Duma member. Ramzan Kadyrov would have received a call from the Kremlin or from somewhere else and advised to visit the special military operation zone or not,” Dmitry Oreshkin told the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.

According to the political analyst, the State Duma member made such a statement as a PR step aimed at raising his own rating.
