After criticism, Dagestani "Minselkhozprod" removes clip about sheep with Z symbol

The "Minselkhozprod" (Ministry of Agriculture and Foodstuffs) of Dagestan has posted a video clip showing a flock of sheep; each animal bearing a Z symbol on its side. Social network users have criticized the officials for the associations with the symbol of the special operation in Ukraine. After commentators' criticism, the ministry has removed the clip.

A video appeared on the official Telegram channel of the Dagestani "Minselkhozprod", in which several hundred sheep are driven through the streets of a dwelling settlement; each sheep has a Z symbol on its side. "Dagestan is finishing the cattle transfer to summer pastures," the report said, while Oleg Gazmanov's song "Forward, Russia!" was used as the musical background for the video.

Social network users have seen a link of the letter Z applied to the sheep side with the symbol of the Russian special operation in Ukraine.

"Delete this ... (horror) until your entire press service is fired," the user Kira Batdalova has advised. "What a mistake it is to post such videos," the user Dmitry Shirshov believes.

There were also comments in support of the ministry bureaucrats, who posted the video. "I support the 'Minselkhozprod'. They are completely nice guys! They showed the power," the user Aslanaa has noted with an ironic emoji.

After the appearance of critical comments, the ministry began deleting them, and then deleted the video clip from its Telegram channel.
