Azeri MoD reports shelling by Armenia

On May 30, Armenian militaries shelled the positions of the Azerbaijani Army deployed in the Kelbadjar District, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Azerbaijan and Armenia are regularly blaming each other of shelling. On May 28, the Armenian MoD claimed that an Armenian conscript was seriously wounded by the shelling conducted by Azerbaijani militaries; later, the soldier died in hospital. The Azerbaijani MoD denied any involvement in the shelling of Armenian positions.

On May 30, Azerbaijani positions were shelled from various weapons in the direction of the village of Zivel, Kelbadjar District, the Azerbaijani MoD has reported. The fire was opened from the direction of the village of Yukhary Zogalli of the Basarkechyar District (the Vardenis District of the Gegarkunik Region of Armenia, – note of the "Caucasian Knot").

The Azeri MoD has added that its military servicemen had taken retaliatory measures.
