Parents banned from attending children's matinees in Grozny

The department of preschool education of the Grozny Mayoralty has decided to restrict parents' access to the graduation matinees in kindergartens, citing the threat of coronavirus spread. Social media users were outraged by the authorities' decision.

The above department has justified the ban for parents to attend matinees "by preventing the spread of a new wave of coronavirus infection."

Users of the Instagram* public "Chechnya Today" have expressed their indignation at the restrictions. "I really want to see the matinee and feel all these emotions. But watching it on a CD is not interesting," the user lr_grozny95 writes. "Why holding them at all then?" the user madina_ed has asked. "Children need their mothers to be there close to them and share the joy ... Otherwise, there is no sense in it," the user dom_i_more_mkala has noted.
