Embassy of Azerbaijan resumes its activities in Kiev

After a temporary move to Lvov, the Embassy of Azerbaijan resumed its activities in Kiev, while the reception in Lvov will be continued until May 6. According to Ambassador Elmira Akhundova, Azerbaijani diplomats handed over 30 tons of products collected by Azerbaijani entrepreneurs to needy residents of Ukraine.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on March 8, employees of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Ukraine were evacuated from Kiev because of growing security threats. The country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) then announced that they would continue their activities in Lvov for some time.

Since April 29, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Ukraine has resumed its activities in Kiev. The Embassy of Azerbaijan is located at the same address: 24, Glubochitskaya street, Kiev. Today, the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent has been informed by an official from the Azerbaijani MFA that the temporary office of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Lvov will continue to receive citizens until May 6.

The Embassy of Azerbaijan organized a collection of humanitarian aid. On April 28, the Azerbaijani diplomats sent to Dnipro 20 tons of food aid, collected by the “Azersun” and “Veysaloglu” Companies operating in Azerbaijan, Ambassador Elmira Akhundova reported.

“We have decided to send these 20 tons (10 tons from ‘Azersun’ and 10 tons from ‘Veysaloglu’ Companies) to the city of Dnipro, because at present it has turned into a humanitarian hub, accepting tens of thousands of refugees from Mariupol, Kharkov, Severodonetsk, and other cities,” the press service for the MFA of Azerbaijan quoted Elmira Akhundova as saying.
