Russian militaries ban Armenian oppositionists to enter Nagorno-Karabakh

Russian militaries have failed to explain the reasons for the ban on the entry of Armenian oppositional MPs to Nagorno-Karabakh, Gegam Manukyan, an MP, has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in Armenia, residents and activists are periodically holding rallies, at which they demand from the country's authorities to recognize the independence of Nagorno-Karabakh. On April 5, in Yerevan, in Freedom Square, the opposition parliamentary factions "Aiastan" and "I Have Honour" held a rally of many thousands, at which they accused the Armenian authorities of new territorial concessions and called for uniting to protect Nagorno-Karabakh.

Russian military have banned the entry of 15-16 MPs from the two above oppositional factions to Nagorno-Karabakh, Gegam Manukyan, an MP from the "Aiastan" faction, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

The MPs were kept for several hours at a checkpoint near the village of Agavno; Russian militaries failed to explain the reasons for the entry ban, Mr Manukyan has explained.

"Armenian authorities are surrendering Artsakh and ensure ethnic cleansings there. The ban is a consequence of shady Nikol Pashinyan's agreements with Ilham Aliev. It's not excluded that tomorrow Armenians will be banned from entering Artsakh," Gegam Manukyan has concluded.
