Armenia reports about death of a soldier near border with Azerbaijan

Contract soldier Grach Manasaryan was killed, and another Armenian soldier was wounded during a shelling attack from the direction of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Armenia reported.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that today, the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan has announced that the positions of the Azerbaijani troops were shelled from the territory controlled by the authorities of Nagorno-Karabakh and from the direction of Armenia. The Azerbaijani armed forces opened return fire. Baku’s statement about the shelling attack is not true, the Ministry of Defence of Nagorno-Karabakh reports.

According to the press service for the Armenian MoD, the incident has happened this afternoon. Two soldiers were injured. Sergeant Grach Manasaryan died on the way to hospital, and there is no threat to the life of the second injured soldier.

The MoD of Armenia also denied the violation of the ceasefire regime by the Armenian armed forces.
