Elista law enforcers take anti-war poster away from picketer

In Elista, the capital of Kalmykia, law enforcers took the picketer, Alexander Lot, to the city police department and confiscated an anti-war poster from him.

Alexander Lot, an activist of the movement "Elista Is Our City", held an anti-war solo picket on February 28 in Lenin Street in the eastern part of the capital. He himself told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent about this, explaining that he had to curtail his anti-war action, when policemen asked him to go to the police station.

He spent "about an hour or an hour and a half" at the station, during which a policeman wrote down the details of his passport and drew up a protocol on the seizure of the poster. "I still don't understand why the poster was taken away from me," said Alexander Lot.
