Sources link disappearance of Stavropol woman with "1Adat"* operation

Marina Ivanova, a resident of the Stavropol Territory, could have been abducted and taken to Chechnya due to her publications in the "1Adat"* Telegram channel, the "Baza" has reported with reference to investigators' data.

The disappearance of the 38-year-old Marina Ivanova became known on January 23. As stated on the website of the Investigating Department for the Stavropol Territory of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), the woman left her home in the village of Inozemtsevo and never came back.

Investigators believe that the woman could have been abducted because of her publications in the "1Adat"* Telegram channel, the "Baza" Telegram channel reported on February 16. While studying the records of the security cameras installed in the area where the missing woman lived, investigators noticed a suspicious Ford car. On the day of Ivanova's disappearance, the car drove out of the region, after which several men got out of it and changed the car number plates. Then they left in the direction of Chechnya, the "Baza" has noted.

According to the "Baza" Telegram channel, investigators know the names of the alleged abductors; they are former employees of the Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).

Investigating authorities failed to confirm or deny the version of the woman's disappearance voiced out by the "Baza" Telegram channel.

*In July 2021, the Zavodskoy District Court of Grozny satisfied the claim of the prosecutor's office and found a number of publications of the "1Adat" Telegram channel as extremist; and also recognized the Internet resources of the "1Adat" movement as prohibited.
