Sarazhdin Sultygov attacked in Ingushetia

In the city of Nazran, Sarazhdin Sultygov, a co-chairman of the NGO "Mekkh-Kkhel", was attacked in his apartment by two men.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 11, Ramzan Kadyrov threatened that if the statements that the Chechen authorities had illegally taken the territories of Ingushetia did not stop, then the "remaining villages" would also go to Chechnya. The next day, Kadyrov treated the authors of statements containing accusations against the republic's about the territories as provocateurs and gave them three days (until January 15) to formulate claims against him. On January 14, Sarazhdin Sultygov, a co-chairman of the above NGO, in response to Kadyrov's ultimatum, called on him to convene a bilateral commission to define the mutual borders.

On January 31, Sarazhdin Sultygov, a co-chairman of the NGO "Mekkh-Kkhel", filed a complaint with the police about the attack on him committed by unknown men, the "Fortanga" outlet reported on its YouTube channel and posted a video of the attack filmed by a surveillance camera.

The video clip shows two men dressed in black standing near the apartment; one of them is filming everything that happens on his phone. Another man approaches the door, rings the bell, and when it opens, steps on the threshold and makes several punches and kicks to someone inside. After an elderly woman comes out of a neighbouring apartment, the attackers fled.

According to Sultygov, the police found out that the attackers lived in Ingushetia; and after watching the surveillance camera installed at the entrance, they found that the attackers had left a black BMV car with license plates of the 95th Russian region (that means Chechnya).
