Izberbash resident suspected of links with extremists
A 38-year-old resident of the city of Izberbash have joined an international religious association, where he studied extremist ideology, investigators assert.
In their opinion, from 2007 to April 2017, the suspect was a member of the "Nurdjular" international religious extremist association banned in Russia. Now, he faces up to six years in prison.
The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that on February 18, 2021, a court in Makhachkala sentenced a local resident to 2.5 years of conditional imprisonment for publications on the Internet that were recognized as extremist.
