After fainting in colony, journalist Polad Aslanov hospitalized

Polad Aslanov, a journalist, was hospitalized on the 19th day of his hunger strike after he fainted in the colony. Aslanov took some food, but then continued his hunger strike, Gyulmira Aslanova, Polad's wife, has added.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 6, Polad Aslanov went on a hunger strike, demanding a review of his case. The journalist complained about the physical and psychological pressure on him in the colony. On the 18th day of his hunger strike, Aslanov's health condition deteriorated sharply, which worried doctors.

"The doctor urged him to stop the hunger strike, because Polad could fall into a coma at any moment," Polad's wife has added, noting that she again asked her husband to stop the hunger strike, but he refused.

Gyulmira Aslanova believes that her husband is being persecuted on trumped-up charges because of his publications about law enforcers' extortions.
