The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that Naira Airumyan went to a picket in front the presidential administration building and demanded from the authorities to solve the problem with the shortage of water in the city.

A month ago, the Stepanakert City Mayoralty reported the interruptions in water supply. The water supply system receives only a quarter of the water from the norm, so it is not possible to resume the round-the-clock water supply, the Stepanakert “Vodokanal” reports. By September 6, 20% of the city residents were cut off from the water supply.

“For a whole month, almost half of Stepanakert was deprived of the water supply. City residents have to carry water to their houses, and there are lonely old people or sick people among them,” Naira Airumyan said.

According to her, none of the city residents also joined the action announced on Facebook. “I am being slowly killed by the conformism of citizens and the irresponsibility of the authorities. The authorities must solve problems and not call people to humility. And if officials are unable to fulfil their function, for which they receive their salaries at the expense of taxpayers, they must resign,” Naira Airumyan said.
