FSB reports prevention of terror acts in Ingushetia

In Ingushetia, four supporters of the terrorist organization “Islamic State” (IS, a terrorist organization, banned in Russia by the court, – note of the “Caucasian Knot”), were detained, who were plotting attacks on law enforcers, the FSB Public Relations Centre reported.

All the detainees are Russian citizens who used the Internet to coordinate with members of the terrorist organization “the preparation and commission of terror acts, including attacks on law enforcers using improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and edged weapons,” the “Interfax” reports.

Firearms and edged weapons, improvised explosives and incendiary devices were seized at the places of the detainees’ residents.

“In the means of communication used, the correspondence with IS members was found, confirming the suspects’ criminal intentions,” the “Interfax” quotes the FSB as reporting.

The “Caucasian Knot” has also reported that on July 1, the FSB reported about a special operation carried out in the Astrakhan Region. According to the special service, during the detention attempt, an IS supporter rendered armed resistance and was shot dead. His accomplice was detained in Moscow. According to the FSB’s version, the suspects were plotting an attack on residents of Moscow and the Astrakhan Region in crowded places.
