In Yerevan, a teenager injured in a clash with law enforcers at a protest action

In Yerevan, a policeman hit a 16-year-old teenager at a protest against the construction of a multi-storey building on Alikhanyan Brothers Street. The teenager is hospitalized. At least four protesters are detained.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on August 20, on Alikhanyan Brothers Street in Yerevan, a clash occurred between opponents of the construction of a multi-storey building and the police. Two persons were detained for disobeying the demands of the law enforcers.

On August 21, residents of Yerevan continued their protest action. A 16-year-old teenager was injured in a clash with the police, the “Sputnik-Armenia” reports.

Journalist Goar Airapetyan reported on Facebook that the policeman hit the teenager in the stomach with such force that the boy had to be hospitalized.

According to Anush Begloyan, an MP from the ruling “Civil Contract” Party, an agreement has been reached with the developers to suspend the construction work until August 23. It is planned to use the period of suspension to study the legality of construction.
