Azerbaijan accuses Armenia of wounding two soldiers

The positions of the Azerbaijani Army stationed in the Kelbadjar District were shelled from the Armenian side. As a result, the militaries, Aliev Sadig Nizami oglu and Imranly Imran Dilgam oglu, suffered; their lives are out of danger, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 25 and 26, Baku accused Armenia of shelling its positions in the Kelbadjar (the Armenian name is Karvachar) District, which came under Azerbaijan's control in the fall of 2020. In its turn, Yerevan has stated that on July 26 the Armenian soldiers were shelled by the Azerbaijani militaries in the Gegarkunik and Ararat Regions of Armenia. On July 27, Azerbaijan again reported the shelling by the Armenian Armed Forces of its positions located in the pre-border Kelbadjar District.

According to the Azerbaijani MoD, the fire was delivered from small arms and grenade launchers from the Armenian positions located in the Basarkechar District of Armenia.
