Azerbaijan blames Armenia for shelling its positions

The positions of the Azerbaijani Army stationed in the border Kelbadjar District were shelled by the Armenian Armed Forces; there are no losses, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 25 and 26, Azerbaijan accused Armenia of shelling from rifles, submachine guns and grenade launchers the positions of the Azerbaijani militaries in the Kelbadjar (the Armenian name is Karvachar) District, which is now, since the fall of 2020, under Azerbaijan's control. On July 26, Armenian militaries were shelled from the Azerbaijani side in the Gegarkunik and Ararat Regions and opened a return fire, the Armenian MoD has reported.
