Azerbaijan reports shelling its positions near Shusha

At night, the positions of Azerbaijani militaries deployed in the vicinity of the city of Shusha were shelled; there were no victims, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Armenia and Azerbaijan are systematically exchanging accusations of shelling each other on the border. On July 14, residents of Stepanakert told about machine gun fire near Shusha. The shots aroused concern among Stepanakert townspeople for their safety.

"The fire was delivered by the Armenian armed detachments located in the territory of Azerbaijan, where Russian peacemakers are temporarily deployed," the website of the Azerbaijani MoD has informed, adding that the Azerbaijani party opened a return fire; and there are no dead or wounded persons among its personnel.

Let us remind you that on July 14, the Armenian party announced the shooting of Azerbaijani militaries at the positions of its soldiers in the Ararat Region; as a result of which one Armenian soldier was killed. Azerbaijan reported wounding of one of its soldiers.
