"Akhmat" footballer apologizes for brawl at match in Grozny

After being disqualified for participating in a mass brawl and disrespecting the judge, Lechi Sadulaev, an "Akhmat" FC player, has apologized, echoing the controversial thesis about "Akhmat"'s hospitality.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 27, at the end of the "Akhmat"-"Lokomotiv" youth football championship match, the "Akhmat" footballer Lechi Sadulaev pushed the referee in response to a yellow card shown to him. Then a massive brawl began, in which two players of the Moscow team suffered.

Lechi Sadulaev said that he regretted about what happened.

"'Akhmat' is famous for its hospitality; we all understand that this should not happen; this is unacceptable," the "Sport24" has quoted Sadulaev as saying. The "Lokomotiv" FC has accepted the Sadulaev's apology.

The attack on the referee and the "Lokomotiv" players illustrates the words of Artyom Dzyuba, a footballer, about the "oppressive atmosphere" in Grozny, for which he was forced to apologize, the video of the "Caucasian Knot" about the conflict has recalled.

In fact, visiting fans and footballers of the teams playing with "Akhmat" FC have repeatedly faced aggression in Grozny. The conflict over the naked torsos of "Zenit" FC fans at the "Akhmat Arena" Stadium in March 2020, and the beating of the Kuban football player Gogniev at the stadium in 2011 became resonant.
