Kadyrov turns out to be richest leader of subjects of Russia

According to the released information on income and property for 2020, Ramzan Kadyrov, the leader of Chechnya, has become the richest regional leader in Russia.

Last year, Ramzan Kadyrov earned 381.1 million roubles. No sources of income have been disclosed.

According to the document released on the website of the leader of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov owns two land plots of 3668 and 28,361 square metres and a residential building of 2344 square metres.

On April 7, the “Project” online edition released an investigation into the real estate owned by a spouse of Ramzan Kadyrov and Fatima Khazueva, a beauty contest finalist, who enjoyed the favour of the leader of Chechnya. Fatima Khazueva owns a luxurious mansion in the centre of Grozny. Along with the wife of the leader of Chechnya, Fatima Khazueva also owns apartments in elite residential complexes in Moscow, the “Project” online edition reports in its investigation. The press secretary for Russian President Vladimir Putin states that the Kremlin has more reliable information on the income of regional leaders than journalists have and that is why the posts about the Ramzan Kadyrov’s property do not give rise to checks.

Let us remind you that Ramzan Kadyrov also topped the rating of “long-office-term” regional leaders. Since April 8, 2021, the Ramzan Kadyrov’s 14-year experience as the leader of Chechnya has become the longest among leaders of the Russian regions.
