Militaries blown up by mine in Azerbaijan

On May 27, in the Kelbadjar District of Azerbaijan, located on the Armenian border, a car with Azerbaijani military servicemen got blown up by a mine, the Azeri Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated without confirming the information about any casualties or wounded persons.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 27, six Armenian servicemen were captured on the border of the Gegarkunik Region. Allegedly, they tried to cross the border with Azerbaijan in order to mine the road, the Azerbaijani MoD has reported. In its turn, the Armenian MoD refuted this version, claiming that the contract soldiers were captured in the territory of a military unit located in the Gegarkunik Region.

On May 27, unofficial information appeared about a mine explosion under a military truck of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces near the village of Ashagy Airym in the Kelbadjar District. As a result of the incident, there are dead and wounded militaries, the "Turan" News Agency reported on the same day.

Later on the same day, the Azerbaijani MoD confirmed that a military vehicle belonging to the Azerbaijani Armed Forces got blown up by a mine in the Kelbadjar District in the territory bordering on Armenia.

However, there is no official information about the dead and wounded persons.
